Personal Project: designed in the form of a standard train timetable. Whilst travelling by train between Manchester and Wales it shocked me by some of the conversations that I accidently overheard. It is amazing how these innocent conversations could have double meanings; in different context, the conversations rather than being very innocent they could mean something very different. Over a one month period, data were collected on any conversations that my daughter and I heard on the train. Also a tally of and how many passengers got on and off the carriage, this was also added into the design.
The scenery of a particular area were designed from found objects left behind by previous passengers. Banana skin, newspapers, sweet wrappings, coffee cups were just a few of them. The appropriate toilet signs represent the male and female passengers that boarded the train
