Movie Posters: Two colour A1 posters for a Polish movie by Roman Polanski, which one was screen-printed. Both posters have focused on the two main characters out at sea rejected from society due to their love for the abandoned wardrobe.
The first poster is a typography poster it has a slightly dark, evil, somewhat surreal feeling to match the film. Even though the film is about the love for the wardrobe, the film is extremely dark in some places. At one point you even see a cat being stonned to death.
The second poster we were given the images to use, the texture of the wardrobe has been made from a piece of driftwood found washed up on my local beach. The typography were formed from grains of sand sprinkled over glue and left to dry, the type has a wavy feel representing the waves on the ocean.
