"Switch Pendant Lamp"
"Switch" pendant lamp packaging and informational material serve to educate the consumer about the value in using recycled materials. The packaging includes the plastic pendant lamp, cardboard and recycled paper. yellow and brown help bring forth the sense of harmony to the cardboard materials. The color palate represents peace but also a warning to who continue to abuse the environment. Simple and clean design represent order from chaos. Order is derived from collecting chaotic cluttered recyclable materials and forming order and beauty to a product. Functionality is shown through the use of dual purpose for the package design; the doors provide an opening and function as compartments for replacement compact fluorescent lamps. The informational booklet rests away in a storage compartment beneath the pendant lamp.
