Description:
rehab of a california colonial home where the clients wanted to keep the existing kithen cabinets due to budgetary restraints. frig was repositioned, peninsula shortened, and uppers on frig wall rebuilt. hardwood flooring in kitchen removed. all new appliances.
previously mbd had re-designed the second bath, modified the public powder room, built a custon bar in the dining area, upgraded the electircal in the home, opened up the tv room to stunning views and the pool area, and repainted the public areas in the home.
the existing cabs were stripped and sprayed semi-gloss black, interiors sprayed white. french vanilla rough hewn quartzite flooring that has aged beautifully, caesarstone quartz CT, all new appliances, nickel-coated ceramic tiles behind cooktop.
existing upper and lower cabs in table area were integrated as a "hutch" with bead board connector. upper interiors painted chinese red to highlight the clients extensive collection of asian pottery and objects. stain glass removed in uppers and replaced with german bubble glass.
exisiting laundry area in 14 x 8 area between the kitchen and home office was made into an entrance foyer. Laundry relocated and reconfigured in ample garage space along with storage cabinets.
SECOND PHASE: additional square footage added to the home for an en-suite full bath. clients had decided to dedicate that side of the home to guests, giving them more room to expand the master suite area, and to include an office area in that wing of the home.
more pics to come. email me for contractor contact. he's the best ever in LA.
