Description:
Manhunt by James L. Swanson
One of my favorite nonfiction books is Manhunt: The 12-Day Chase for Lincoln’s Killer by James L. Swanson.
As the title implies, it follows the days after Lincoln was assassinated and the hunt for John Wilkes Booth. For my design, Lincoln’s iconic hat served as the map of the hunting party, with X marking the spot where Wilkes Booth would be found as well as symbolizing the deadly shot to the head Lincoln suffered.

I've always love the graphic simplicity of this cover and just now noticed it was meant to be Lincolns hat. Very clever... hope you get a chance to do this type of stuff at your new place of work.
