Electric Koolaid Acid Test /Tom Wolfe 

We've all read the book about the bus trip - THAT bus trip - the one where the Merry Pranksters drop acid and trip across America. My idea was to create a psychedelic wake from the bus. I also wanted to keep it liquid and electric, and used mixed light sources to try and give it that phosphorescence feel. After speaking with my art Director, Henry Yee, on the second try  - I went to a more electric blue feeling. And even though Tom really loved the idea- he told Henry that he didn't like the bus - it was too generic - and he wanted it to be a drawing. Concurrently, Phil Pascuzzo had been relentlessly keeping up with the multi changes and was now given my photograph to take the step further.  The final version seen here went happily away to the printer. At the end of the day - you know- I'm just happy to get paid for bringing it.
