THE DRAINING LAKE, by Arnaldur Indridason.

This is the third paperback of the crimes series based in Iceland which follow the cases of Inspector Erlendur for Henry Yee that I've had the opportunity to shoot. In addition to some good why-who-when detective writing, the reader gets a history lesson in East German cold war espionage. We discussed the book, and after doing some research, I built a small lake bed environment.  Then I boiled several fish down to the bones in order to reassemble them in what I hoped would look like an indigenous fish found on one of the lakes of Iceland. Henry Yee created a very floating and creepy kind of design with the type. I thought it looked cool.
