Heartbreaking novel about a woman who loses her young son to a hit and run accident. For most of the story, she is unable to leave the house, and is in a large part brought through her grief with the comfort of her son’s cat. The challenge here was to show this isolation and grief, but have the image work with the title. The request was for no cat on the cover, and a photographic approach.
