Poster Design - 30th Anniversary of Publications Design  

Assignment: Create a conceptual poster demonstrating the Publications Design Masters program's intiative to combine words and images, while ilustrating the 30th anniversary of the program.

Going to the sketchbook to start, I wrote the word "thirty" and the number "30" in an endless variety. As with all great ideas, the combination of stylized numbers (drawn by hand, scanned, and then traced in Illustrator) combining to create an image, developed while I was pursuing another concept. This was my first attempt at conceptual illustration, and has led me to experiment more with original illustration.
