This multi-generation fiction title has a few interesting themes threading through it: woodworking, fiddle music, thievery, and depression. Most of the story takes place in the nineteenth century, so I aimed for a Victorian style that could also look quite modern. The publisher loved it so much that they used the cover image on their catalogue.
