Description:
Our instructor charged us with the challenge of coming up with a stamp design to commemorate the 50th anniversary of The Graphic Designers of Canada (GDC). The concept for my design was influenced by the early focus of the GDC which was typography. They were originally known as the Typographers of Canada. I tried to indicate different era's of popular typfaces to indicate a progression of time from the beginning of the Typographers of Canada to now (2004). I had alot of great feedback from interviwers at different firms when I shopped my portfolio around after graduation!
