Domestic Alarm System 

Brief

Y-Manufacturing develops and manufactures alarm systems for the UK domestic market. Following the success of their existing sounder unit, Y-Manufacturing approached HJC Design  to  assist   them in developing a bespoke design for a key client.

Method

HJC Design developed a generic sounder unit to supplement the company’s existing manufacturing methods. The design maximises the use of snap fit assembly methods to improve production efficiency and reduce costs. A tough impact resistant 3mm Polycarbonate shell incorporates a unique anti-tamper system protecting the unit from attack. The front cover protects the unit to IP44 standards and includes a large screen printing area for branding. A translucent outer shell helps portray a strong identity and increases the product performance.

Solution

An alarm system is only as good as its sounder. HJC developed this unique and innovative sounder unit to exacting standards. It offers the professional installer a combination of technology and aesthetics which would enhance any installation.
