Danish startup car retailer Povlsen Biler hired me to do a complete branding of their business. Unlike most new car retailers, the management has focused on creating a unique profile and are comitted to do various activities around it, to get the message across in the local area.
As the company - other than regular family cars - will focus on exclusive and vintage cars, we wanted a graphical profile that stressed this fact. Furthermore Povlsen is normally not spelled with a v but a u in Danish, so we wanted to stress that difference as well. We ended up with the above design, where the V is a homage to old classic American cars with V8 engines. The overall look also uses Art Deco elements to stress the vintage profile.
