Inspired by microscopic sea creatures, Neila is a layered costume dress that mimics underwater life and habits. With its striking blue and orange colouring, the dress is determined by the strength of light triggered through a light sensor which, creates a pulsating glow in the panels. This was made possible with the use of EL wire lining the edges of the dress, creating curves and a heart shaped neckline. 
Each panel was individually wire framed and stretched over with material that mimics the shape of underwater coral. These elements together define Neila.
