Description:
Poster One:
An additional piece done in connection to the redesign for the Linn-Benton Community College Graphic Design Department informational brochure. The poster mimics the shape grid used in the layout of the brochure, which was created first. By cutting the grid in half and using the lines of the shapes to create background color blocks for the required text the poster becomes even more dynamic and eye-catching, a must in poster design.
Poster Two:
Created for The Boys & Girls Club of Albany, Oregon for their annual Christmas tree fundraiser in 2005. The idea was to create a poster as part of as add campaign that would highlight the elegance of the evening as well as the family fun aspect including Santa Claus who the client wanted to emphasis would be attending the event.
To bring together fun and elegance I used rich dark colors with touches of brightness through a vector illustration based off the classic shape of a paper snowflake. The subtle additions of a silhouetted family and Santa Claus and his sleigh are made more prominent with the curvy sleigh tracks leading from the foreground to the background illustrations and top to bottom.
