Beyond Second is an online community centered around photography taken in Harrisburg, PA. Users can register to create their own artist profile, and upload a daily photo into an unlimited, virtual gallery space. It runs on a PHP/mySQL backend, using an approval mechanism and automatic image resizing to facilitate ease of use.

Beyond Second has become a great success for the Central PA arts community. Over 200 people have registered, submitting over 4,500 photographs of the Capital of Pennsylvania. Beyond Second has received numerous accolades from the local artist community, scored interviews in Harrisburg Magazine and The Patriot News, and led to two successful photo exhibits.

After four years, the website was redesigned from the ground-up, providing a host of new features: Discussion Forums, RSS Feeds, Tags, Photo Sets, an improved submission process, "community policing" and much more. A complete summary of the new features can be found within the "What's New" page.
