Okay, now this is a stop-dead-in-your-tracks cover design that makes me want to know what the book is about. And to my way of thinking this is what you want a cover to do, no matter the way it's accomplished. I once had a jacket rejected by a NY publisher for being, "arresting"... That was the word. And I've never understood it. "Isn't that what you want a cover to do?" I asked. "I mean, if people stop to look at it, they might pick it up. If they pick it up, they might buy it!" But such logic didn't get me very far, so I'm still scratching my head. In any case, the violence and gore of your cover is disturbing and visceral, but it's also very artfully done, which isn't as easy to get right as people might think. A very strong cover; hard not to look at it.
