epartment of Computer & Information Sciences (CIS) UTP has grown with 51 academic and 9 support staff coming from diverse background with rich industrial experiences as well in the academia. 

The Department is lively and diverse with research interests spanning the wide spectrum from fundamental to applied computing in various domain with greater emphasis on oil and gas industries. As such it crosses the boundaries of business, engineering, computer science, information science as well as social sciences.
