Description:
While studying abroad in Florence, I completed a project for a group called The Slow Society; a branch of a company called Slow Food that began in Italy and strives to live a more relaxed, slow-paced life in which they remember to enjoy the little things like meals and good company. Every year, the International Day of Slowness on June 21 is a means of reminding everyone of these goals. This invitation to celebrate with the Slow Society forces people to slow down to piece together the invitation itself.
I also created the logo, which uses a piece of our grammatical system, the period, to force a pause in the reading of the logo: Day of Slowness.
