Description:
Working here in Scotland, one occasionally gets asked to design a book on Robert Burns (actually, it's almost a weekly occurrence) Here are two recent efforts of mine, as Scotland celebrates the 250th anniversary of the bard's birth.
We are also having a year of 'Homecoming' where every Scot across the planet is coming home for a cup of tea and a biscuit, before catching the last bus back to wherever they now reside, leaving the rest of us here with the rain. . .
The first book is 'Tam o' Shanter', illustrated with paintings by the artist Alexander Goudie. The second is 'The Best Laid Schemes', using a detail from the famous portrait of Burns by Alexander Nasmyth, 1828
