i work for an ad agency, and this is probably one of the best ads i've seen in a long time - even though it isn't a real ad (aired during an episode of The Office on NBC for the company of the title of the show, Dunder Mifflin Paper Co.), it shows you the people who write for the show are truly brilliant. it actually choked me up a little.

seeing as Michael is supposed to be an idiot, it is a wonder how that wasn’t just embarrassingly bad. if this were the British version, the commercial would have been hilarious and at the same time made you uncomfortable to watch.

of course. it was refreshing to see the writer's take on advertising though - if you listen closely, michael's monologue doesn't make much sense, but it's a commercial all about creativity and ideas, which definitely get hosed in this industry in favor of
