Tween Style Bloggers: 12-year-old fashion blogger Tavi from Style Rookie... permalink

I was in utter amazement when I came across the Style Rookie blog yesterday, authored by a 12-year old girl [discovered via NotCot].

Guess I’m not the only one impressed and slightly in shock. This weekend, T Style magazine has a feature titled Post Adolescents: Some Bloggers are Too Cool for School...

“Meet the next generation of style bloggers. They might not be able to drive yet, but their fashion sense is so incredible, it’s actually intimidating. Their sites are not just paeans to mall finds that look like what celebrities wear...” —T Style

I know I was not this cool in middle school, or willing to open up to the masses. And 12-year-old Tavi already seems quite comfortable with a camera and a bit of graphic design. The artistic photo seen above is from one of her self-initiated photo shoots. But, I do have to wonder about the hidden implications of having such young girls posting so much personal information and photographs online...

Freaky talents. She looks like a mini-Sally R.
