Keira Knightley: No Photoshop?

Source: arthuradesign.com| Tags:  Arts & Culture Photography Entertainment

In the world of graphic design, photography and more recently in movie production it has become common and a lot of times unnoticed by the common eye to see photo enhancements and touch ups. Every magazine you see is altered from its original to bring out the best of people. Is it the best, really?

Hey, good for her. I admit working on so many romancey schmaney books with perfect people on the covers makes me uncomfortable. What kind of message does that give to the 99.99% of us who fall far short physical perfection? Though I also admit leaving The Dark Knight movie asking "why in the world was Maggie Gyllenhaal cast as the heroene...she's so homely".

Someone once said Maggie Gyllenhaal looks like the turtle from those Art Instructions school commercials. If anyone knows what I am talking about, I think the resemblance may be uncanny.

Ms. Knightly should be applauded for this stance. I think more people need to have a positive view on who they are rather then what society deems normal. All that matters is that she can be proud of who she is at the end of the day.
