As you may have heard, the Hamilton Wood Type and Printing Museum is being forced to move out of its historic building in Two Rivers, Wisconsin… perhaps as soon as mid-February: "The owners of our building have given us 90 days to pack and vacate the building. We have little or no money to do this and no place to move to. We are attempting to raise $250,000 in short order to get 30,000 square feet of printing history packed up and ready for a new home, wherever that may be."
To help raise cash for the Museum's move, there are two Holiday Benefits planned for this Saturday, December 15, 2012. In Brooklyn, NY, at The Arm Letterpress. In Chicago, IL, at the Center for Book and Paper Arts.
Please consider attending, donating items to be auctioned at the benefits, or donating to the museum itself. All proceeds from Saturday's benefits will help the museum move its vast collection of typographic treasures.
