DESCRIPTION
Pure Digital Technologies, makers of the Flip Video line of easy-to-use video camcorders (http://www.theflip.com), is seeking a Senior User Experience Designer to join our growing design team to work on a variety of website, software, hardware, and other user experience efforts. We are looking for someone with the talent to create elegant designs, the skills to participate throughout the end-to-end product develop process, and the passion to help us create innovative experiences for our users. This is a full-time, on-site position, located at our San Francisco office reporting the Senior Design Manager.

The central focus for this role will be to design the online rich-media web application and flipshare site user experience. The candidate must be a strategic, independent, self-motivated, creative professional, capable of adapting quickly to a fast-paced environment. This is an active hands-on role, designing the core product user experience tasked with solving both the interaction as well as the visual design challenges. The candidate should also be comfortable prototyping their ideas and refining the detailed UI behaviors. Ultimately, we are looking for someone who lives to be creative, an all around talented designer with proven experience in web and client UI design, has a passion for video and social networking, commitment to achieving highest quality design and eager to pushing the boundaries of convergent media.

RESPONSIBILITIES
The responsibilities for this position includes:
-Producing innovative yet easy to use design solutions that address complex business, marketing and user needs
-Helping outline the user experience direction on new features and playing a key role in defining corresponding feature requirements
-Rapidly developing user flows, schematics, behavioral prototypes, superior visual mock-ups, final design assets and lightweight functional specs
-Working closely with the development team and support UI implementation efforts
-Helping define and champion a user-centered design process

EXPERIENCE
A strong candidate for this role will match many of these criteria:
-6+ years of designing consumer focused rich media web and client application UI
-Must demonstrate outstanding design talent, creativity and sense for motion design
-Have an understanding of user-centered design process
-Proven ability to work independently as well as in cross-functional groups
-Strong communications and organizational skills with an ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
-Demonstrated high proficiency in leading design tools such as Fireworks, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Flash with knowledge of ActionScripting, Javascript and CSS a plus
-Have a solid understanding of and perspective on the online video space and social media trends and technologies
-BFA or BA degree in design related studies
