Job Description:Cisco WebEx Marketing is looking for a highly enthusiastic and experienced Senior Information Architect to join our Web Experience and Design team as part of Web Services. This position will give the candidate the opportunity to work with a large variety of projects ranging from site content architecture to innovative web applications, offered as a consistent user experience across webex.com and sister sites in multiple platforms across WebEx services.Minimum Requirements: Ability to synthesize and communicate the implications of user research findings and business requirements to the customer experience design process and product, as well as conceptualize the structure and functionality of the user experience with customer needs and business goals in mind, ideally in a web environment incorporating ecommerce and other conversion events. Analytical problem-solving skills, excellent writing and presentation skills with experience in outlining functional specifications and content requirements (concurrently with interface design), based on content inventories, task analysis, card sorting exercises and other user experience design techniques, as well as good grasp of the use of web analytics to understand and improve web experience and achievement of business goals. Strong background in user interface design and development with proven ability to create functional and usable interfaces, as well as good diagramming skills and information design experience developing deliverables and documentation to communicate the user experience design elements, flows, interaction and functionalities. Proven experience with different IA deliverables (annotated wireframes, flow diagrams, sitemaps, design patterns, etc), and the ability to adapt them to different uses, projects and constraints. Focus on the structural design of information to facilitate intuitive access to content in multiple platforms, devices and technologies, with emphasis in communicating the abstract level of design to all team members, ensuring consistent and viable solutions. A portfolio of projects including project deliverables and finished products, as well as past experience or academic achievement in the areas of user research and/or design methods focusing on user experience design. Desirable experience with Rich Internet Applications, multi-platform projects, media delivery applications, and projects which require handling large volumes of complex information. Demonstrate expert knowledge of structure, capabilities and usage of web standards relating to databases, browsers, content management systems, operating systems, software packages, standard mark-up and languages (such as HTML, XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML, ActionScript, Java, SLQ, ASP, JSP and PHP). Experience using software tools on either Mac or Windows platforms including Adobe CS and Microsoft Office applications to create IA deliverables, as well as the ability to quickly learn how to use new tools and methods. Degree in Information Sciences, Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, Psychology, Human Factors, Business or related discipline. Ability to help establish best practices for the internal design process, including making recommendations for improved communication, deliverables and technologies. The ideal candidate is actively engaged in the information architecture and experience design communities and involved in professional associations.
