Job Description:

Nielsen-Kellerman is seeking applicants for the position of Website Manager/Graphic Designer. This position requires an independent individual with a solid foundation in web design, web development and graphic design.
Responsibilities of this position include:
• Ability to design, create and maintain multiple corporate websites – dynamic pages, blogs, online forums, online newsletters, and online store.
• Produce short video or animated demonstrations for web distribution.
• Remain abreast of technological advances in web and graphic design.
• Ability to produce visual collateral materials (including brochures, catalogs, advertisements, displays, labels, packaging, and instruction manuals) as needed.
The ideal candidate will possess:
• Associates or BA degree.
• Three to five years related experience.
• Strong working knowledge of Macromedia Flash, Dreamweaver, Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Premiere, and Illustrator.
• Knowledge of PHP, MySQL, CSS, XHTML, Javascript.
• Understanding of browser compatibility issues, web usability, SEO/SEM and information architecture.
• Willingness and ability to work in the full spectrum of visual design producing highly creative designs with careful organization and presentation.
Nielsen-Kellerman is an established company with a 30-year history of designing, developing, manufacturing and marketing consumer electronics for monitoring sports performance and environmental conditions. NK electronics for rowing are used by virtually every school and club program throughout the world, from novices to Olympic medal winners. Our Kestrel Pocket Wind and Weather Meters are used by firefighters, military personnel, farmers, hikers, meteorologists, sports teams, and hundreds of other people who need to know the conditions where they work or play. NK Soaring Instruments are used by world class glider pilots throughout the world.

NK’s facility (manufacturing plant and offices) is located in Boothwyn, PA, 30 minutes south-west of Philadelphia. The Web/Graphic Designer will be part of the close-knit, high-energy and hard-working sales and marketing team. The ideal team member will possess enthusiasm, curiosity, commitment, an ability to self-direct, and a willingness to tackle challenges. “Not my job” is NOT part of the vocabulary of this position. A rowing or outdoors background and a willingness to travel to occasional regattas and trade shows will be considered a strong plus.
This is a full time position with a salary of $48,000 - $55,000 per year. Benefits include fully-paid medical and dental insurance, disability insurance, generous 401-K plan and tuition contribution for relevant education.
