I like when the architecture reference to the form of fine art of its time or the past. this building recalls the Le Corbusier, the Swiss-born architect and writer who was famous for referencing the contemporary paintings of his time.
Now that Designer Vivienne Tam's glossy flagship opened this building at 40 Mercer Street which designed by Jean Nouvel. the apartments in this building, many of which have either red or blue glass accent windows which is more lavish than Richard Meier’s Perry Street towers, 40 Mercer pays homage not only to its neighboring nineteenth-century cast-iron buildings but to a host of twentieth-century greats: Mondrian, Barragan, Mies van der Rohe.
