In celebration of Pentagram's fortieth anniversary, the design agency created a short film that tells the story of their forty years and plays like an epic reel.
The animation emulates stop-motion by stictching together images of Pentagram projects and clients in a tight grid. The narrator tells the story of a fictitious character who moves through different careers throughout his 40-year history.
Like it or not, one thing is for sure—it was a cleverly done self-promo.
