HBO Intro: Behind The Scenes

This is a great video showing how the 1983 HBO intro was created. At the time the techniques used were top notch....I remember seeing this intro as a kid.


My favorite part is the creation of the starburst at 5:33

Hi Kyle, THIS is awesome! I love the Old School practical effect works. It reminds me of my old CINEFEX magazine. The heroic music at the starburst scene gets my blood pumping. Thanks for sharing. -Henry

i remember watching that documentary in 84-85... and was amazed as a kid. what a great flash back.
