You can see a portfolio of Thomas Jorion's work here
'Timeless Island" is a series of photographs by Thomas Jorion, whose artistic work is based on our perception of time. Whilst our society rushes along at breakneck speed, certain places remain ‘fixed’ in time as if suspended in animation…This project also has an environmental focus. The images draw attention to the issue of rehabilitating abandoned sites. So often we only see the damage left behind, such as soil pollution and destruction of the ecosystem, and if the site has no economic ‘future’ it is neglected for so long that it becomes part of the landscape.
Thomas Jorion is a self-taught photographer who lives and works in Paris. He has exhibited his work in many groups and solo shows. Thomas's work was published in the November 2009 issue of Air France’s `’Madame Magazine`’. Also in the January 2010 issue of Platform Magazine, which featured a cover image and a portfolio. In July of 2009 "Timeless Island" was selected for the international selection of in Voies Off d'Arles. His work hangs in several private and public collections. He also works for different publisher in the activities of fine arts and architecture.
