Dear Zachary movie poster illustrated by Evan B. Harris
| November 08, 2008

While looking at the latest trailers added to apple.com, I spotted the fully illustrated movie poster for an upcoming documentary Dear Zachary: A Letter to a Son about his Father. When I first saw the illustration at a very small size, I thought it may have been the illustration work of Marcel Dzama (maybe because of the muted color palette). But the illustration and beautiful hand lettering was created by Oregon-based artist Evan B. Harris. His work is represented by Johansson Projects and Cerasoli. Without knowing anything about the film prior to seeing the poster, now I am interested.

The film Dear Zachary, directed by Kurt Kuenne, is now playing in a limited amount of theaters and locations.

Below is the really depressing, but compelling trailer for the documentary:

IndieWire interviewed the director Kurt Kuenne last month.
