Karen Horton’s inspiration

little boxes

Showtime’s series Weeds, (now in its third season) has one of the most unique television intros. The suburban landscape is brought to life with thoughtful cinematography
and design.

Every week a new artist covers the theme song Little Boxes by folk singer Malvina Reynolds. It’s a nice juxtaposition against the monotonous tone of the visuals and lyrics.

If anyone knows which design studio gets credit
for the opening sequence, please let me know.

(I am not endorsing the activities of the show)

Through 2005 and 2006 the title designers were Thomas Cobb and Robert Bradley. They were nominated for an Emmy for it. I agree the intros are great
