Penguin Great Ideas Volume V cover designs

Thanks to David Pearson's flickr, here is a preview of some of the designs for the fifth and last installment of the Penguin Great Ideas series. They are gorgeous as usual, and bet even more so in person. Of the 20 new cover designs in the Great Ideas series 5, David Pearson designed the majority of the covers (total of 13 covers), with Phil Baines (3), Catherine Dixon (3), and Alistair Hall (1). The books are on schedule to be available in the UK in August 2010.

David Pearson kindly shared with me a few images showing the behind the scenes design process of creating an actual stamp for the Of Human Freedom cover.
