The Gum Thief
| November 12, 2007

Author Douglas Coupland, has used YouTube as a vehicle to create viral buzz around his new book The Gum Thief. On their own, a few of the videos are interesting examples of dynamic typography (specifically the ones from the Bethany set). The use of office products in the videos is not an arbitrary decision. The main character in the novel works at Staples.

I'm glad to see an author embracing interactive media in conjunction with the usual printed form.
