Well, I think I have been in a superhero rut lately, but... c'mon, they are more fun! I saw the batman year one book in Powell's (downtown Portland) the other day and loved it. I can only assume it is Chip Kidd with his use of Futura and the angled half jacket.
I also show the ultimate evil. I love how the image of batman is an actual photographed toy, it goes to show that you can use found items rather than just what is provided to you. The dimensional photograph seems to juxtapose well with the flat text banner (is this a bellyband?).
