Action Comics, No. 1
| November 15, 2007

In June 1938, DC Comics issued Action Comics No. 1. The comic book that introduced SUPERMAN. The first major hero character to have mythic "super" powers. Created by Jerry Siegel & Joe Shuster, whose lives inspired Michael Chabon's novel, THE AMAZING ADVENTURES OF KAVALIER & CLAY. The most valuable comic in the world in any condition with only 100 copies known to exist. I can't believe that someone placed this gorgeously tattered copy on the scanner. But I'm glad they did. And check out the back cover. Suh-WEET!

I can't believe they would put that on the scanner either considering that 2 copies sold for over $150,000 each in 1996. Supposedly, those copies are worth $500,000 each today. I've always wanted to read this. Nice find!
