About the Gallery:
Nina Savill and Wendy Weston met in Boston in 1998 where Weston owned and ran her own gallery. Five years later, after they had both relocated to New York, the two friends came across a beautiful storefront in the city's ecclectic Lower East Side neighborhood and decided to open a space together. From 2003 until May 2006, Metalstone Gallery exhibited a variety of local and out of town artists in a friendly, accessible environment and threw legendary receptions in its lovely backyard. In Spring 2006, through Savill and Weston's relationship with Alix Sloan, former director of La Luz de Jesus Gallery in Los Angeles, Metalstone Gallery evolved into the Aidan Savoy Gallery. Moving forward, the gallery continues its commitment to showing a wide range of talented artists while supporting the creative energy of New York's exciting Lower East Side.
