Luckily, I got a chance to see the Audrey Kawaski: Hajimari – a prelude show just before it closed at Jonathan LeVine Gallery in Chelsea, NYC

It's always great when you stumble across something interesting when walking down the street, which is how I happened to discover this.

Apparently, this propaganda campaign has already been all over the news and blogs, but it was new to me as I saw the posters in front of a restaurant in the West Village. After a little bit of research, I found out that the artists are Art in Odd Places (aiop). The art piece is a direct response to Mike Bloomberg's attempt at a third term after recently succeeding in changing legislature to allow for a three term limit for New York City mayor (something that has already changed back twice previous to a two term limit). The artist group encouraged people to write in "Charles Montgomery Burns" on voting day in opposition to Bloomberg (read below).

“Burns for Mayor was formed to defeat Mike Bloomberg's bid for a third term. We will not rest until all New Yorkers write in Charles Montgomery Burns on the ballot this November 3rd. It's someone else's turn, vote Burns!”

Opening titles were "Handcrafted with love by BYU design students and faculty, for the 5th Typophile Film Festival ... Everything in the film is real—no CG effects!"

James May and over 1,200 volunteers build a two-story Lego house using two million lego bricks on top of its foundation. The house includes a staircase, toilet and shower in addition to its rooms.
