I was off to the beach in Florida last December (yes, December), and I noticed this bar behind an old gas station in St. Petersburg. I wouldn't call myself a Family Guy fanboy, but I do make a point of watching new episodes before deleting it from my DV-R. If you don't watch the show, The Drunken Clam is the restaurant/bar where Peter and the gang drink beer and have some laughs.
The signage of this restaurant caught the corner of my eye, so I went in for a closer look. Apparently, the restaurant/bar was established 20 years ago, and the illustration/lettering has been around well before The Family Guy.
Find out more about Quahog, Rhode Island (“Coffee Milk: Rhode Island's official state drink. Really, it's true!”).
Having always enjoyed the vinyl lettering at art exhibits, and I am repeatedly impressed by the close attention to detail that the exhibit designers take.
“Look at Your Interior” designs unique wall vinyl to allow people to liven up their own homes with color and style. You can choose from different color palettes to best match your environment, which adds a nice touch.
“The chosen colour and the vinyl you choose will create a new and wonderful atmosphere. If you decided to paint, pay special attention when putting the sticky tape in the installation of the vinyl. If the paint is still wet it could be damaged. However, our 24 colours offer is wide enough if you decide to keep your wall at its current colour.”
