Neoprene Chairs

Ok, so I could only find this one neoprene chair, but I find the idea of futuristic looking flame resistant furniture interesting (outside of the whole wetsuit thing). This chair is especially great for those prone to falling asleep while smoking cigarettes (flickr).

“The Lander C-type is a low recline lounge chair coveredin a titanium coated neoprene suit. It’s inspirationcomes from a unlikely combination of natural and manmade forms fusing sharks with 1960’s sports cars.”

More about that funny, synthetic substance called neoprene (wikipedia)

Eero Saarinen's Tulip Chair

Interesting fact: Eero Saarinen had a son named "Eames".

I think some people actually thought it was a real chair (I wish). This is actually a replica of the chair. It's only 3-inches tall. I shot this on the floor of my ny studio apartment.
