By the time Spring 2010 is here many of us will be very familiar with the Spring 2010 line from Viktor & Rolf. From model Magdalena Frackowiak on the cover of the February issue of Dazed and Confused to Lady Gaga's editorial feature in the January issue of Elle to an employee of Wallpaper magazine showing up in one of the dresses at the Wallpaper* Design Awards, the over-the-top designs are getting exposure off the Paris Fashion Week runway.

"The world has to cut back — and so did Viktor Horsting and Rolf Snoeren, the two designers behind Viktor & Rolf. They have one of the most entertaining and thought-provoking shows of the Paris season – and we never know what to expect of them.
The most memorable pieces for Spring were dresses and ball gowns of thickly packed layers of tulle were cut and sliced – sometimes with circular holes like Swiss cheese, and other times as though a chainsaw cut off half a sponge. They were exercises in geometry and illusion..." —The Wall Street Journal blog

Muno's 60 second Joy Ride TV spot for the KIA Sorento will debut during during this year's Super Bowl. I'm already looking forward to see this as well as some of the other spots that will run (sans the politically charged ones).

A lovely Mona Lisa Leaf inspired by a new art form emerging out of China that requires precision and great care. (via treehugger)
“Artists create delicate images on leaves by slowly scraping the surface ... The process of producing a single leaf carving is said to take months of careful work. When the artwork is finished, the leaves are then preserved and framed--ensuring that they will last for decades.”
Luckily, I got a chance to see the Audrey Kawaski: Hajimari – a prelude show just before it closed at Jonathan LeVine Gallery in Chelsea, NYC
