John Howrey’s inspiration
Space
I've been thinking a lot about moving, mainly 'cuz we're going to, either to New York or just another place in Boston. I'm getting pretty jazzed and find myself daydreaming about what kind of magical space we'll be able to create. I see pictures like this on desire to inspire and just drool. Nice even palette, but a punch of vibrant color. Stunning. The aesthetic is quirky and unique, but also somewhat elegant, but mainly clean.

There's the rub: who can live like this? I have too much stuff and I don't think I can rid of it. When I see homes that I love it always looks like no one lives there. So, I'm altering my dreams: we find a place with an extra room. It'll be my studio/junk room, like my dad's workshop, but with proper insulation and a computer. No one is allowed in. Just me. Ahhh... All the clutter I can accumulate. No one is allowed in our apartment right now, not until it looks like no one lives here. That's the rule.
By the way, the photo is from the portfolio of interior designer Kathryn Scott.
