Deco Monster’s inspiration
Invisible Creature / Wonderful Union
At the beginning of the year one of our favorite design groups by the name of Asterik Studios split right down the middle and became two seperate entities: Invisible Creature and Wonderful Union.
Although we think this is a great idea and are eagerly awaiting double the featured work, we are, still to this day, quite upset at the fact that we know there will not be anymore credit on our most favorite tangible print campaigns from Asterik.
If you take a look at the portfolios between Creature and Union, you'll notice that a lot of the work featured is still the same from their predecessor exhibit. The subtle and not-so-subtle differences in style however are quite obvious to those who have followed their work, as well as even newbies to just now get involved. While Union tends to be considered visually as the more innocent, playful, and professional side of the spectrum dealing mostly with various case studies, gallery exhibits, and corporate campaigns; Creature retains the more creatively chaotic and differentiating work, projects and dynamics with a more independent, dark, and rustic feel that we've all known to grow and love about the work it obviously references from Asterik.
Even though both systems are blatantly original within themselves - the work is still great, enjoyable, and pleasing to whatever eye it captures. Definitely a respected decision in forking, and we can't wait to see more throughout the year from these two.
