Whaaaat! Check this site. While Melody Weir was behind the helm of Emergency Arts, Mark had left these babies made from tape that I came across on the 3rd floor one day. I wasn't sure what was to come of those creepy little translucent babes and I just (finally) visited Mark's site. If you're from outta town, you must check Printed Matter.
They carry zines, prints, guys with beards & and short run art books from all over the world--something like 70% of their inventory is under 25$. They nurture a community of artists and writers with readings, curated shows and I'm not, not promising weird nude art books. It's the most inspiring store in NYC. It will become your Rushmore.
10th Ave bet. 21st and 22nd street.
