Global Warming Polar Bear Rug by NEL

While flipping through the new I.D. magazine I saw this rug design by the Mexican collective, NEL. The rug is made from New Zealand wool, and the polar bear is made of felt. The Global Warming rug made its debut at the Valencia International Furniture Fair

Nanimarquina, from Barcelona, is the manufacturer of the rug and has other impressive designs in their collection. The rug is available in two sizes with a starting price of $1,420.

I think NEL did a great job of capturing the likeness of the global warming situation and its impact on polar bears:
