Description: Creating intimate portraits of family, friends, artists and icons I explore documented histories both public and private. Intent on capturing the humanity and dignity of the people I love, beyond just appearance, I search for a romantic view of life through their intimate and personal images. These representations affect a perception within the viewer of their own inherent humanity, dignity and beauty. The sources for my work are personal photographs, family albums and public images I find in books, magazines, and films. My choices are based simply on personal attraction and admiration of the subjects; an exercise in self exploration and remembrance.
